Calling all youth theatres

The European Festival of Youth Theatre is looking for young companies from around the UK to take part in a festival in summer 2018.

We're part of an international collaboration with The Birmingham Repertory TheatreThe New Wolsey Theatre IpswichDerby Theatre & Belgrade Theatre Coventry and partners from across Europe.

Groups will go to Birmingham during the festival, take part in workshops, perform their own work and watch other youth theatre productions. 

We’re looking for productions that meet one or more of these criteria:  
-
Productions that capture the voice of young people
- Reflect the cultural diversity of the UK
- Address the issue of European identity

At this stage we are looking for expressions of interest from youth theatre companies who might want to take part in the festival.

Deadline // expressions of interest

After the deadline, a steering group of young people from the six UK partner theatres will read through the expressions of interest, where possible see the work and decide which productions are most appropriate for the festival.
