Casting Call Out: Digital Horror Story

Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse Theatres and The Coach House
Featuring new writing by Conway McDermott & RJ Lloyd

 

We are looking for our main protagonist to feature in a new horror storytelling short, produced digitally, in a collaboration with Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse theatres and local Liverpool collective, The Coach House.

This Halloween, the theatres will be releasing a new piece of digital work that will have audiences hiding behind their sofas at home, it’ll be tense, it’ll be funny & it will be very Liverpool.

We’re excited to continue our journey in producing digital works, this project represents a milestone event for the theatres, as we aim to broaden how we tell stories to reach new audiences within our communities.

LOOKING FOR:

Role 1: Female, any nationality, Liverpudlian accent, playing age 30 to 49. Must be confident on a film shoot and comfortable in front of the camera. This character is an organised, self-sufficient and independent woman; sassy, intelligent & calm – she wants life to be simple and doesn’t like to be the centre of attention, but she doesn’t always get what she wants.
 

Must be available Monday 27th September 2021 & Sunday 3rd October - Monday 4th October 2021

Table read & rehearsal: Monday 27th September 2021

Filming days: Sunday 3rd October & Monday 4th October 2021

Rehearsals and the filming days are in Liverpool. The performer will need to be based in the Liverpool City Region.

Upon receipt of your email, someone will be in touch within 24 hours with material for a self-tape audition. Self-tapes must be completed & submitted by Thursday 23rd September 2021, 10am.
