5 Things You Might Not Know About Wayne McGregor

We're delighted to have Wayne McGregor's Atomos at the Playhouse this week (Fri 13 May). Here's 5 things you might not know about the cutting-edge contemporary choreographer...

1. He choreographed Paloma Faith’s performance featuring company dancers at the BRIT Awards in 2015.

2. Thom Yorke's dancing in the music video for Radiohead's Lotus Flower in 2011? Choreographed by Wayne. It was nominated for a Grammy and has been viewed over 18 million times on YouTube.

3. He also choreographed another video for Thom Yorke’s group Atoms For Peace, in February 2013. The video for Ingenue also featured company dancer Fukiko Takase.

4. A choreographer’s creative process in real time... was the talk Wayne delivered to the TED conference in 2012.

5. And, remember Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2004? Wayne was the Movement Director.

He's kind of a big deal.

Atomos is at the Playhouse, Fri 13 May. Tickets, priced £20 - £12, are available here.
