Art in the Everyman // North West Artists Support Group Summer Memories 2

An exhibition by Annette Dalzell-Brown, Tracy Davenport Law, Suzanne Grace,
Sharon Kayll Mathews & Karen Morris-Greenhalgh
17 - 31 Oct 2023

This will be the second exhibition for the North West Artists Support Group. As we head from Autumn towards Winter with colder days and longer nights, we wanted a theme that would be reflective. The artists have collaborated to capture the essence of Summer through their unique perspectives and styles.
We hope you find "Summer Memories" an uplifting collection of artwork, which reconnects you with some of your own memories to celebrate the magic of Summer.

Annette Dalzell-Brown is a Wirral based Photographer and Artist. Her preferred work-tool is a Canon EOS R mirrorless digital full frame camera and a small collection of 'L' series pro lenses. Her work is informed by nature, wildlife, coastal and inland places she likes to explore around Liverpool Bay (the Mersey and Dee Estuaries, Sefton and North Wales coasts) and out on the Isles of Scilly. As an accomplished Photographer with over 35 years experience, mostly as an Observational Photographer shooting public, private and work-based events. When her NHS/Public Health - Health Promotion & Improvement career came to a stand-still, Annette took the opportunity to follow a long held ambition and became a full-time Photographer. Annette has broadened her area of photographic practice to include the Japanese Bokeh macro photography and landscapes. She also creates original and innovative Immersive Abstract Photographic Collages and Deconstructed Photographs, which she has reconstructed with the subtle addition of acrylic paintwork.

Tracy Davenport Law is a Painter and Cartoonist. Old...Ish. Based in Warrington with her long-suffering husband and gorge-bag dog. ‘Paint what you adore,' that's what they say. Following this, Tracy's paintings depict the magnificent changing light from the sky above that she adores so much. Always searching for the perfect light that's filled with calmness and peacefulness. All from her most favourite local places. Showing today this summer's favourites. Generally paints in oil, but these, viewed today, are acrylic.

Suzanne Grace “I am a multimedia professional artist who creates work mostly inspired by the natural world and personal experiences. My work is versatile and difficult to stereotype which I feel conveys a sense of freedom representing many personas. This inspired me to set up my Wild Art business (www.wildart.studio). I work mostly from my home garden studio In Liverpool but sometimes on location. I paint mostly but have recently ventured into creating some sculptural pieces using organic materials. I am an active member of several art organizations and have exhibited nationally.”

Sharon Kayll-Mathews “I am an artist on a continuous journey of exploration, both of processes and creative ideas. I often start with a subject that I can see and then delve into the worlds of printmaking, and painting to offer my response. In this series titled “Urban Summer” my aim was to draw upon source material such as drawings, rubbings and photographs compiled from various parts of Liverpool. Turning to abstraction, I have used colours influenced by graffiti and textures from walls and pavements. “

Karen Morris-Greenhalgh ”My artwork is rooted in my love of colour and texture and my favoured subjects are animals and flora and fauna. I am inspired by nature and the spirit of the Universe.
In order to create, I need to meditate and tune into my artistic energy. From this point, I feel free to express my art and my joy. The latest creations were born from the phenomenon of the Blue Moon. This will always remind me of late summer 2023.”

Artwork can be purchased from The Everyman Staff (card payment only). Please contact [email protected] or call 0345 017 6660 with any enquiries.
