Tommy Graham

Tommy Graham

Tommy Graham is a painter, illustrator and cartoonist. This year marks the 20th anniversary of his time as an artist in Liverpool, having graduated from John Moores University in 2002. His work is an eclectic mix of irreverent humour, portraiture, find line illustration and classical painting techniques.

He has won awards for his live painting and in recent years completed a large scale public work at the Museum Of Liverpool, upon which he created over 600 sketches of the public and an enormous anamorphic Liver Bird.

His favourite colour is orange, He has two dogs and a cat.

“I am thrilled to become an artists in residence at the Everyman. Initially, my approach will involve sitting in the public spaces, sketching and watching the day to day running of the building. I can’t wait to spend my afternoons and evenings in the building, trying to capture some of its amazing energy”.
