The Life Rooms online

The Pilot Life Rooms at the Playhouse closed on 17 March 2020 due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. With exacerbated mental health needs Mersey Care prioritised telephone support. In response to service users need for live interactive sessions, the Everyman & Playhouse introduced live interactive sessions which had significant impact in supporting mental health and preventing crisis (from 23 March 2020).

From October 2021 Mersey Care launched a new Life Rooms; Life Rooms Learning On-Line as a permanent on-line platform with pre-recorded sessions and resources and a live interactive zoom programme with Everyman & Playhouse as a creative partner.

Feedback from service users and Mersey Care shows that without our service there would be a loss of independence which results in mental health challenge e.g. some service users with PTSD and high levels of anxiety had taken months to leave their house to start integrating into the community pre Covid-19.

From April/May 2021 we are planning to re-open The Life Rooms at the Playhouse (in-line with Government guidelines) and aim to have both a live face-to-face and digital offer.
