"I looked around this room, and I thought, I'm the only person in this room that hasn't killed anyone"

Talking to Terrorists is a play commissioned by the Royal Court and Out of Joint. During extensive workshops, the writer, director and actors interviewed people from around the world who have been affected by or involved in terrorism. They wanted to know what makes ordinary people do extreme things. This is about their experiences.

From peacemakers, journalists and hostages to those who have crossed the line - these are their stories.

"Chilling, moving and mesmerising... I will be astonished if the year turns up a more important, illuminating or moving play than this... in every respect , a truly remarkable piece of theatre"  The Daily Telegraph
