Our New Works team present a quarterly Scratch morning offering artists the opportunity to scratch new performance ideas in the early stages of development.

Ahead of the next Scratch morning at the Everyman, we're seeking applications from an eclectic mix of theatre-makers from across the North West who wish to present a short section of new work before an audience who will get a chance to offer their thoughts on how these exciting new ideas might develop.

The Scratch morning will present four extracts of new work for the stage, no longer than 15 minutes. Extracts can explore any topic and take any form but must be in the early stages of development. We ask that performances are not dependant on technical support.

You must:

  • Be based in the North West region
  • Be making new, original work for the stage
  • Have a 15 minute extract to scratch
  • Available to attend the event

How to apply
To apply, please email: [email protected] telling us about your work to date [400 words max], a brief outline of the work you wish to present during the Scratch Morning including what it is, what you wish to achieve by scratching this extract of performance and how the scratch will help you develop the piece [500 words max].

In addition, please send any supporting material including videos, photography and/or links to websites – please note, we can not accept attachments.
