The Kneehigh team that blew us all away with Dead Dog in a Suitcase (and other love songs) return with a new version of Günter Grass’ extraordinary novel The Tin Drum. A grand musical satire that promises to be furious, funny and fiercely full of hope.

Kneehigh Masterclass (for teachers and tutors)

A day of creative and practical activities which give an insight into Kneehigh’s brilliant, unique and original approach to theatre making. Led by Kneehigh’s long-time Associate Artist Anna Maria Murphy

When? Thursday 28 September, 9.30am until 4pm. [Arrive at 9.15am] 
Where? City of Liverpool Community Arts Centre on Myrtle Street [in the main theatre, just around the corner from the Everyman].
Who for? Teachers, tutors and lecturers of Drama/Theatre/Performing Arts from in and around the Liverpool City Region (which includes the boroughs Liverpool, Knowsley, Wirral, Sefton, St Helens and Halton)
How much? £60 per person, including refreshments throughout the day, a light lunch and a ticket for Kneehigh’s The Tin Drum that evening. All partner organisations get 25% off.
Anything else? Dress comfortably, bring plenty of water and a notebook.

Anna Maria Murphy
Having worked with Kneehigh almost since the beginning, Anna leads the Kneehigh Rambles programme working with young people and communities. She’s written shows including Tristan & Ysuelt (with Carl Grose), The Red Shoes, Don John, and Midnight’s Pumkpin. For the past three years she has been walking the Roads less Travelled in Cornwall, collecting, reinventing and exaggerating stories heard on the way.
