A Clockwork Orange // Youth and Society

A Clockwork Orange [Everyman Company], Sat 14 Apr to Thu 12 Jul.
A Clockwork Orange [Everyman Company], Sat 14 Apr to Thu 12 Jul.

In his notorious novel of teen culture gone bad, Anthony Burgess unleashed amoral Alex on the world. In his own stage adaptation, A Clockwork Orange comes dangerously to life, slicing open society with a steely poetic edge and taking a good hard look deep inside.

Project
Alex and his mates have turned to violence and crime as a response to a state that regulates everyone’s life. How do today’s young men see themselves and their future?

Students will engage with the issues of the play and with their own adolescence in this project that will include a visit from our Associate Director, Nick Bagnall, who is directing this production.
