On Stage at…the Everyman

The Everyman will take centre stage in a special half hour film!

Monday 9 November 2015 |  7.30pm | BBC One (NW)

Famous Everyman alumni, including Alison Steadman, Jonathan Pryce, Bernard Hill and Matthew Kelly are interviewed about their early years at the Everyman. Narration is provided by Liverpool born actor, David Morrissey, who started his acting career at the Everyman’s youth theatre. Viewers also get a glimpse into the making of poet Simon Armitage’s recent critically acclaimed adaptation of The Odyssey before it went on tour with English Touring Theatre.

The behind the scenes documentary is part of the BBC’s wider On Stage season looking at some of the country’s most iconic provincial venues, in this ambitious look at British Theatre across England.

If you're outside the North West, tune into Freeview Channel 955 or Sky Channel 958. Following the broadcast, you'll also be able to watch on BBC iPlayer.
