Playwrights & Artists

In the last ten years we have produced 38 world premières across the two theatres, 35 of them by Liverpool writers. Of these, ten were debut plays and 15 of the productions toured or transferred. This decade of new work has been created by:

Writers on Attachment

Each year, three playwrights join our theatres as Writers on Attachment. Usually, we already know their work and feel that these writers would benefit from taking a step up in their professional careers; this might include dramaturgical support from our Literary Department, meeting industry professionals and attending masterclasses or, occasionally, rehearsed readings of their new play.
