The Everyman Company 2018

The Everyman Company 2017
The Everyman Company 2017 [Fiddler on the Roof, The Conquest of the South Pole, The Story Giant, The Sum, Romeo & Juliet]

While we're still on a high from the joy and the intensity of our first Company season, we've also been super busy planning for next year. Building on all we've learned and what you – our audiences – have told us you enjoyed, we're incredibly excited to announce the shows that The Company will be performing in spring 2018.

14 actors.
4 productions.
5 months.

Building on the success of Fiddler on the Roofwe'll open the 2018 season with another classic Broadway show: Lerner and Loewe’s musical Paint Your Wagon.

There'll also be an adaptation of Anthony Burgess’ dystopian novel A Clockwork Orange, a contemporary production of Shakespeare’s Othello and a re-imagining of Henrik Ibsen’s Peer Gynt, relocated to 20th Century Liverpool by writer Robert Farquhar.

Gemma Bodinetz, our Artistic Director said: “If last season looked at our struggle to retain our humanity against all odds, then this season of plays looks at our attempts to shake it all up and do it differently."

"Until then, we're looking forward to an extraordinary autumn schedule including our exciting co-production of The Tin Drum with Kneehigh and West Yorkshire Playhouse, the UK première of Ken Ludwig’s international hit Baskerville and the best Rock ‘n’ Roll panto in the universe – this year it’s The Little Mermaid.

We're still in the process of deciding who the 14 actors will be. As ever, we want to bring together a diverse mix of experienced performers and emerging talent. To encourage our theatre makers of the future, we'll once again be including an actor from Young Everyman Playhouse (YEP) in The Company. The traineeship placement gives a YEP Actor the opportunity to perform alongside some of the industry’s best talents.

Full casting for The Company 2018 will be announced in November, when tickets will go on sale.
