The Writers' Room

The Writers’ Room is a bookable workspace at the Everyman, free for all playwrights to use. It’s a quiet space to escape for a few hours to work on your current play or dip into our extensive script library.

You can bring your own laptop or book in advance to use one of our two desktop computers. If you’d like to use a desktop, please complete and return a Contact Form so we can create a password for you first. We’ll try and set this up for you straight away but please be aware that it can take up to 5 working days.

On arrival, a member of staff from Box Office will give you a key card so you can access the Writers’ Room. If you’ve booked to use one of our computers, a member of staff will issue you with a username and password to get you started. Unfortunately, work cannot be saved to our desktop computers so please bring a pen drive, CD or save your work to the Cloud so it’s not lost once you log out.

The Writers’ Room is open from 10am-10pm and you can book morning, afternoon and/or evening slots throughout the week, excluding Thursday evenings, Friday afternoons and Sundays. Sessions are completely free and you can book as many as you like up to a week in advance. You’re also welcome to turn up on the day and see if there’s space.

If you would like to book, please contact Box Office on 0151 709 4776 or just drop in.
