Booking tickets for accessible performances

We often hold seats off sale specifically for accessible performances, so that service users have the best experience. Our Box Office team will ensure you are seated in the best place. Entrance

The main entrance to the Everyman is on Hope Street. It is a level entrance with automatic doors.

Accessible Parking

There are on street Blue Badge spaces available near to the Everyman.

Caledonia Street (East of Hope Street) has 5 bays, 1 with dropped kerb access.
Hope Street has 1 bay individually marked bay, with dropped kerb access.
Green Lane (West of Clarence Street) has 4 individually marked bays, with dropped kerb access.

Wheelchair Access

The Everyman has lift access to all floors.

There are wheelchair spaces in the auditorium on both levels. We also have a few taller seats and some with moveable armrests.

In the stalls, Row E is level access. Row F is also level access but requires a push up into the seats. In the Circle seats B1 to B19 are level access, with wheelchair spaces available on the aisle (seats B19 & B20).

Accessible Toilets

There are six accessible toilets in the building, including a Changing Place (link opens in a new tab).

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome to stay with you in the auditorium. Alternatively, if you prefer, venue staff can look after your dog during the performance.
Staff can also arrange appropriate seating, ensuring there is enough floor space for your dog to lie comfortably beside you.

As suitable seating for assistance dogs is limited, we strongly recommend informing the box office when booking your tickets.

A hearing loop or sound enhancement headset is available at the Everyman.

Built in 1866, the Playhouse is a Grade II listed theatre. Unfortunately, older buildings can be access limited but we are constantly working to improve our facilities to ensure you have an enjoyable visit.

Entrance

The main entrance to the Playhouse is in Williamson Square. It is a level entrance with automatic doors, and two non-powered doors either side of it.

Accessible parking

Williamson Square is pedestrianised, with no drop off access to the front of the building.
Dawson Street (South of Whitechapel) is nearest, and has 3 individually marked bays with dropped kerb access.
Whitechapel has 2 bays which aren’t individually marked, 1 with dropped kerb access.
Peter Street has 2 bays, 1 with dropped kerb access.

Wheelchair Access

The Playhouse has lift access to all floors.

Stalls

Rows A-H are level access.
Rows J-M have one small step up before you can take your seats.
We have three wheelchair spaces in the Stalls: two on the side aisles of row H and one on the centre aisle of row J.

Circle

Seats F22&F23 are level access. Either two free standing seats, or one seat and a wheelchair space can be arranged here.

Gallery

Currently no level access seats or spaces for people who use a wheelchair.

Studio

The studio is level access via a lift with one wheelchair space.

Accessible Toilets

There is an accessible toilet on the ground floor of the Playhouse.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome in the auditorium and can stay with you during the performance. If you prefer, our staff are happy to look after your dog for you.

Our team can also arrange suitable seating, ensuring there is enough floor space for your dog to rest comfortably beside you.

As seating with adequate space for assistance dogs is limited, we strongly recommend contacting the box office when booking your tickets.
