Enjoy A Christmas Carol for free at home this Christmas

We’re really pleased to be able to share a version of our festive treat, A Christmas Carol that can be enjoyed from the comfort of your home for free for a limited time only.

Thanks to the Cultural Recovery Fund we’ve been able to make a unique recording which we’re sharing with the staff and patients of Alder Hey hospital, but also with audiences unable to get tickets or visit us due to the pandemic.

You’ll need to book a ‘free’ digital ticket and the link and password to watch will be sent in an email confirmation. Tickets are available until midday on Christmas Eve, with the show link viewable until 5pm on Christmas Eve.

Enjoying theatre online is a whole new world of technology for us all, and we're doing our best to make the experience as simple as possible.  So here’s a few things to note:

  • This is not a live stream but a version recorded before a real audience on Friday 11 December.
  • The recorded version is available for free but you’ll need to book a ticket so we can send you a link and password.
  • If you book a ticket and don’t receive the confirmation email within an hour, please check your junk folder before emailing [email protected]
  • Our broadcast is not a YouTube or Vimeo stream, but using a platform called muse.ai and we’ve tested it on as many web browsers as possible.
  • We suggest you watch on Chrome, Edge or Safari but please make sure your web browser is up to date.
  • If you’re watching via a web browser, you could always plug your computer or laptop into your TV, but we know this might be complicated or need extra cables so here a handy video that might help
  • You should be able to use Google Chromecast and Apple Air Play to cast to you TV too; again you’ll need to make sure it’s the latest version.
  •

Enjoy the show!
