Culture is our weapon

AfroReggae are from the favelas of Brazil, where gun crime and drugs are commonplace.

Their weapons of choice are drums not guns and their music, dance and energy have inspired an international cultural movement.

The AfroReggae band have played with Michael Franti, Asian Dub Foundation, Estelle and have supported The Rolling Stones.

Now, 9 of their talented artists and performers together with 3 dancers from Northern Ireland's Bad Taste Cru are coming to Liverpool for a 4-week residency over the summer.

During their time in Liverpool they will be sharing their practice in conflict resolution and offering young people positive alternatives to gang violence and drugs.
