Get Started With Theatre

If you are aged 16-25 and not in education, training or employment you are welcome to join our free theatre programme where you will:

• Work with professionals to gain skills in lighting, sound and projection
• Get to see a professional production
• Find out about backstage jobs in a theatre
• Work as a group to design and create staging for a production
• Gain a Bronze Arts Award
• Enjoy a fun week improving your teamwork, communication skills and confidence
• Have the chance to go onto further courses in the theatre

No prior experience is needed, the course is completely free to attend and includes lunch and travel expenses. You'll also receive three months support after the programme to help you move into education, training or employment.

The Get Started With Theatre course will run from Mon 7 Sep to Fri 11 Sep at the Everyman. A taster day, also at the Everyman, is being held on Sun 2 Sep.
