Another Liverpool icon comes under the spotlight in Eric’s, a new musical commissioned from Liverpool writer Mark Davies Markham (author of Taboo – The Boy George Musical). Eric’s will celebrate this musical hothouse of the late seventies and early eighties when The Clash, The Ramones and The Sex Pistols ignited a creative spark that fired a generation. Out of Eric’s came Teardrop Explodes, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Mighty Wah!, Big in Japan, OMD and Frankie Goes to Hollywood among many others. There could be only one venue to recreate this time, Liverpool’s other crucible of the counter-culture, the Everyman.
