Love, Liverpool

Thu 5 Aug to Sat 14 Aug 2021

PLAYHOUSE

£10 - £20

We’re really sorry to announce that we’re cancelling the remaining shows of Love, Liverpool at the Playhouse. This is due to an unfortunate positive COVID-19 test within our acting company.

We’re immensely proud to have been able to make it happen on stage in these difficult times and would like to thank all who have supported the show from its very start as a podcast back in lockdown to the stage show. We’ve enjoyed celebrating this city and its people with Love, Liverpool and are disappointed to not be able to finish the run on Saturday.

Ticket buyers are being contacted by box office.

Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you soon.

The everyday stories that make our city extraordinary

If the fabric of this city is its people, then the stitching is the stories we share.

Have you ever sat on a train, looked over at the person opposite you and thought; “Who are you?”  Love, Liverpool opens the door into the worlds of a group of strangers, their hopes and dreams, their loves and losses. Through intertwining moments of interaction and connection, they take you through a day in the life of our city.

Inspired by our award-winning, collaborative project Love, Liverpool: An A-Z of Hope, this exciting live show threads together the stories and spaces in Liverpool we share. Local writer Chloë Moss brings to life the original letters, commissioned in lockdown, with new material and video design from Tracey Gibbs. Nathan Powell directs a cast of five local actors, capturing the energy and magic of our remarkable city.

In 2020, Love, Liverpool: An A-Z of Hope helped us to visit our city under lockdown. In 2021 Love, Liverpool will let us rediscover it, and, after being kept apart for so long, fall in love all over again.
