Theatre and Community The mission of Theatre and Community at the Everyman and Playhouse is: To extend the experience, aspiration and challenge of theatre beyond the stage through an inclusive and accessible programme of activity that reaches out to the widest possible community. The work of Theatre and Community is divided into 3 programmes;
Season Highlights
Lost Lands Lost Lands is a great new theatre show performed by local residents along the locks of the Leeds/Liverpool Canal. Through imaginative storytelling and vibrant visuals, new myths and legends based on the local environment will be performed in the very spaces that inspired them.
Performance times at 7.30pm, 8.00pm, 8.30pm, 9.00pm, 9.30pm and 10.00pm on Only on a first come, first served basis can you enter the Lost Lands.

Spirits of the Stone For our Kirkby Community Production, the Theatre and Community Department worked in partnership with Knowsley Arts and Museums Service.
Following open auditions, the play was performed by a cast of 20 Kirkby residents aged from 14 to 83 on the Everyman stage on 17 & 18 April 2009.
Activities for Young People and Community Groups This season a programme of activities and projects is available for young people and community groups. The Youth Forum is a group of young people aged 16 - 24 from across Merseyside who are committed to helping Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse make their work and buildings welcoming for young people. Through regular meetings, research and activities the Theatres and youth forum are developing ways of putting young people at the heart of the Theatres.
