EVERYWORD
EVERYWORD, the annual new writing festival which grown more popular every year, is back this May. Extended to two weeks, EVERYWORD offers a variety of readings, workshops and events designed to get your creative juices flowing.

This year the programme includes Q&As with award-winning writers David Eldridge and Jeremy Dyson, and workshops with some of the finest new writing companies in the UK, including Paines Plough, RSC and Soho Theatre and Writers’ Centre. Readings include new work by Robert Farquhar, Laurence Wilson and Kellie Smith.
Everyword enables aspiring writers to work with and learn from some of the country’s leading practitioners and this year’s festival includes collaborations with curators Almanac Folk and, back by popular demand, Nabokov Theatre.
But EVERYWORD is not just for writers. EVERYWORD has seen the first readings of Paradise Bound, Unprotected, Intemperance, Lost Monsters and The Dreadful Hours, all of which have progressed to full-scale Everyman productions. EVERYWORD 2009 featured the first public screening of four 3 Minute Wonder short films by local writers co-produced by Channel 4, the Everyman and Playhouse and Lime Pictures, making it a great opportunity to try something new and be the first to see the next generation of Liverpool’s writing talent.
“All writers need inspiration as well as a sense of community. The Everyman’s annual festival of new writing offers both.”
Lyn Gardner, The Guardian

Wish You Were Here
We all hope to have the time of our lives on holiday. We all need to capture and hold onto those unique holiday moments with holiday photos, videos and mementos.
But is there a unique holiday moment that you experienced, that you’ll remember for the rest of your life, of which there is no photo, video or memento to remember it by - just the vivid happy memory running in your minds-eye? If there is, The Everyman would love to hear all about it.
In two hundred words, email us your unforgettable holiday moment:
Where did it happen?, Who were you with?, What happened? Describe sounds, smells, sights and what you could hear as vividly as possible. What made the moment special or unique? And most importantly...how did it change you?
We’re hoping that your holiday memory can creatively inspire our Everyman writers as they create a new theatre event – Wish You Were Here - which will be performed as part of this year’s Everyword festival on Saturday 29 May.
If you prefer, you and your memory may remain anonymous.
Please email your unforgettable holiday moments to wuwh@everymanplayhouse.com
