Rebecca Bainbridge

Rebecca trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

She recently played Nurse Flinn/Sandra in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the Leicester Curve theatre.

Theatre credits include: Pam Cushion in The Vaudevillains with Les Enfants Terribles (Lowry and Charing Cross Theatre, West End); Gladys Pugh in Hi-de-Hi! (number one UK tour); Narrator in Striking Twelve (Waterloo East, London); understudy and played Sally Bowles in Cabaret (Lyric Theatre, West End); Paula/Marilyn Monroe in Great Pretenders (Gatehouse Theatre, London); Queen Narcissa in Mother Goose (Liverpool Everyman); Deis’ree in Tonight’s the Night (number one UK tour); understudy Peggy Van Aulden in Jailhouse Rock (Piccadilly Theatre, West End); Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show (European tours); MsLynch in Grease (Larnaca, Cyprus) and Shirley in Buddy:  the Buddy Holly Story (number one UK tour).

Other credits include: commercials for Big Yellow Storage, Lynx Twist and Heineken. She also voiced the characters of ’Mollyflower’ and ‘Catnip’ in the Nintendo Wii game Bonsai Barber. She can also be heard on the soundtrack of the feature film ‘The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy’ amongst a chorus of singing dolphins.

Jonny Bower

Jonny trained at LAMDA, graduating in 2008. Prior to this, he studied drama at the University of Bristol.

Theatre credits include: Love’s Labour’s Lost (Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory 2006); Sebastian in Twelfth Night (Creation Theatre, Oxford, 2009); Tommy/first cover Buddy in The Buddy Holly Story (Milton Morrissey, 2010); the Russian Soldier in a workshop production of Monkee Business: the Musical (Michael Rose Ltd, Dominion Theatre, West End 2011) and, most recently, Lysander and Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (the Lord Chamberlain’s Men, 2011).

For the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse: Virgil Tracey in Dick Whittington (2009) and Phileas Frog/Peggy Heggerty in Sleeping Beauty (2010).

Film work includes: the short film The Clutch by Nadoworks.

Jonny is delighted to be returning to the Rock ‘N’ Roll panto in its new home at the Playhouse.

Carla Freeman

Carla trained at the Guildford School of Acting, graduating with first-class honours.

She has recently finished playing Pam for the Queen’s Theatre’s production of The Young Ones.

Before this, Carla created the role of the legendary Connie Francis on the UK tour of Bill Kenwright’s new musical Laughter in the Rain – the Neil Sedaka Story, after having played Maria Elena Holly in the 20th anniversary UK tour of Buddy – the Buddy Holly Story, as well as at the 50th anniversary concert (King’s Theatre, Glasgow) on 3 February 2009.

Other credits include: friend of Stacey for Iceland advert; best friend for Bodyform advert (MTV); girl (main) for Johnson and Johnson Advert; Chloe in Skype viral and stills.

Credits whilst training include: Jacinta in Serious Money, Olwen in Dangerous Corner, Pauline in The Winter’s Tale and Varya in The Cherry Orchard.

Carla is very excited to be at the Playhouse for her first Liverpool panto.

Robert Gilbert

Robert trained at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts.

He recently played Mujahideen/Siad (understudy) in Blood and Gifts (National Theatre).

Whilst training at LIPA, Robert appeared as: Sir William in Coram Boy, Sam in Holes, Daniel in The Boys in the Photograph, Slender in The Merry Wives of Windsor and Michael in Enemies.

Film credits include: Gulliver’s Travels (20th Century Fox).

Television credits include: The Academy.

Robert recently completed filming the lead role of Tazeem for Sky Television’s Sinbad.

Adam Keast

Cinderella is Adam’s ninth panto for the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, having appeared in Mother Goose, Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, Dick Whittington and Sleeping Beauty.

Also for the Liverpool Playhouse: The Sound of Fury and Ferry Cross the Mersey, which toured and went to London.

Other Liverpool shows include: Brick Up the Mersey Tunnels, Our Day Out, Lennon, Good Golly Miss Molly and You’ll Never Walk Alone (Liverpool Royal Court).

Other theatre credits include: Forbidden Planet, Wake Up Little Suzie, Sweet Charity and From a Jack to a King (Oldham Coliseum); Eight Miles High, Once Upon a Time in Wigan – LIVE! and Looking for Buddy (Bolton Octagon); Pump Boys and Dinettes (Stoke New Victoria Theatre); Three Steps to Heaven (Chester Gateway and tour); Cinderella (Theatr Clywd); Elvis – the Musical and Puss in Boots (Theatre Royal Windsor); Like a Heartbeat (West Yorkshire Playhouse Studio); Buddy Vs the Killer (Indonesia/Malaysia); Jus’ Like That! Chris Lindon

Chris trained at Bretton Hall, graduating in 2007.

Theatre credits include: Romeo and Juliet and Visiting Grandad (York Theatre Royal); The Snow Queen (West Yorkshire Playhouse); The Emperor’s New Clothes (Channel
Theatre Company); Stormbringer (Avanti Display); The Garden in Winter and King of the Castle (M6 Theatre Company); Peter Pan (Proteus Theatre Company); Once Upon a Time in
Wigan – LIVE! (Urban Expansions Theatre Company) and Scorcher (Action Transport Theatre Company).

Film credits include: No-One Forgets a Bad Teacher (Two Bob Films).

Television credits include: Star Struck (BBC/North West Vision); Heartbeat (Yorkshire Television) and Ideal (BBC/Baby Cow Productions).

This is his first ever panto and he’s really pleased to be doing it in Liverpool, his home town.

Kate Marlais

Kate trained at the Royal Academy of Music.

She recently finished Tactical Questioning at the Tricycle Theatre.

Film and television includes: Comedy Shorts for Hull Comedy Festival 2011; My Funny Valentine, Zanichelli, The Games, In Other Words, Silent Spirit and City Survival Guide (ITV).

Griffin Stevens

Griffin has recently finished touring the UK with the new play The Chosen Ones.

Prior to this, Griffin performed as Erdem in The Old Vic New Voices Arden Project, which was also broadcast in New York.

Theatre credits include: Clearance (Southwark Playhouse); Jersey Boys (Prince Edward Theatre); In the Ring (BAC); Spittin’ Distance (National Theatre Studio); Bad Blood (Key Theatre); Edmond (Arts Educational Studio) and After Miss Julie (Tabard Theatre).

Television credits include: Adam and Eva and For Honour. Film credits include: Homecoming, Henry, Modern Life and Prick.

Francis Tucker
