It’s been a busy couple of weeks for the Theatre and Community Department with the new school year beginning. The Young Everyman Playhouse groups are up and running with Young Actors back last week and the Satellite programme about to begin again in October. On Sunday 18 Sept some members from the younger groups took part in the Hope St feast. Their section was called The Children are Revolting! and involved marching the length of Hope street campaigning for important issues such as later bed times and the banning of broccoli.

All in T and C are very excited about the launch of the Playhouse’s gangster spectacle Arturo Ui , which promises to be a great production. To accompany Arturo Ui, on the Wednesday 5 Oct and 12 Oct the Playhouse will be transformed into a game show prior to the performance. Loosely based on The Generation Game, teams will have their wits tested with a series of games giving you an insight into the play. The Generation Game is completely free so get a team together and get ready for some action.

Over the past 4 months our ART Valley Outreach programme we run with Bluecoat, has been working with young people in Norris Green and we are looking to put on an exhibition of their work during half term. Laura Hall takes over this week as ART Valley Manager so will be able to update on the exhibition very soon.

Finally, don’t miss out on this week's Cinderella Saturday on 1 Oct which will be an action packed day for 7 to 12 year olds! Children will experience three different Cinderella related activities, including a magical tour, a drama workshop and an arts and craft session.
