Box of Tricks talk 'Picture a City' at Everyword 2012

Over here at Box of Tricks’ HQ, we’re busy but excited because next week, we’re heading to the Everyword Festival to present our exhibition-cum-performance project Picture a City.
Over the last couple of weeks, we’ve collected over fifty photos of the city – check out pictureacity.posterous.com – and have specially commissioned five brilliant playwrights to write a snapshot play inspired by an image of their choice. We’re creating a unique Liverpudlian gallery in the Redgrave Room at the Playhouse, where each piece will be performed by the writer at 7pm every evening of the festival.
We’ll be adding images of Liverpool to our online site now and throughout the festival, so if you’d like to get involved and capture your vision of the city, e-mail your snap to email@example.com (with its title in the subject line and any credits in the body of the e-mail).
We’re really looking forward to bringing five new plays and an exhibition inspired by Liverpool to the Playhouse next week. We hope you can join us on our exploration of the city: head to pictureacity.posterous.com, pop into the Redgrave Room at the Playhouse (open throughout the festival) and, of course, hear the stories of Liverpool the pictures have inspired!
All performances are free but ticketed – so get in quick!
Hope to see you next week…
